Priestess 04:35
Staring at the storm clouds gathered above Gaping wound but I know no pain Is this the weakness or the strength of love Trapped inside and waiting for the rain We met so long ago Down at the shrine I thought you cried for me Break my ring, leave me here I'm still alive, but I'd rather have died for you Smoke is rising from the land of the lonely Fires are burning in the land of the dead I sit by myself and think if I'd only Been honest with you, you'd never have left The train steams past my twisted memories Child steps down with sparkling eye I start to speak, she turns away Hold the razor and blunt the blade Sense the hunted's pointless suffering Loose your weapon, die in vain Yours the void, annihilation Barriers, barricades keep us insane My life is darker than it's ever been And the grass where I sleep is scorched and dry Elysian Fields, are they just a dream? I will succeed if once I try Calling, from so far away Your bleeding heart so true This my flower, final day And I'm calling, calling for you Priestess, have the years gone by Priestess, my Priestess Priestess, standing by my side Priestess, my Priestess Priestess, my Priestess Priestess

about

This is the demo cassette of the Goth band I was in during my last year of high school, 1989/1990. Available as a free download, which includes scans of the original cassette cover. Priestess includes full lyrics (click on the track to see).

It is what it is. Fond memories! I would love to get back in touch with anyone who was involved, or remembers us. I think we only ever played about four gigs, all in Chichester.
